Nigerian Army troops have killed a notorious terrorist commander, Munzur Ya Audu, and 114 others in Yobe State through well-coordinated operations across the country.
The Director of Defense Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba, disclosed this during a press briefing in Abuja on Thursday.
He said the troops are also actively targeting terrorist logistics bases and other structures that have links with terrorist groups, stressing that the efforts to destroy capabilities as well as networks of terrorist groups are essential. Efforts have been made.

In the north-east, troops of Operation Hadin Kai killed 61 terrorists, captured 34 suspects and rescued 32 kidnapped hostages within a week.
Buba said troops from Operations Safe Haven and Whirl Stroke killed 18 violent extremists in North-Central, captured 48 people and rescued 48 kidnapped hostages.
Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji killed 28 terrorists, captured 77 others and rescued 57 kidnapped hostages during military operations in the north-west.
He said the air component carried out air interdiction on notorious terrorist leader Sadiku and hibernating terrorists in Sola in Safana and Batsari areas of Katsina State.
“The air component was acquired and attached with rockets and bombs. Battle damage assessment revealed that many terrorists were killed, and their structures were destroyed,” he said.
