President Bola Tinubu has approved the reappointment of Professor Samson Duna as the Director General of the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI) for the next four years.
This was stated in a statement by the Deputy Director of Information, NBRRI, Mr Peter Mashem, in Abuja on Tuesday.
He said he was informed of his reappointment in a letter by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume.
Mashem said Duna had been serving as the institute's director general since his appointment in 2020.
“Duna is a learned Professor of Civil Engineering from Biliri Local Government of Gombe State.
“As a CORON Registered Engineer, Duena is also a member of the following professional bodies; Member, Nigerian Institute of Engineering Management (MNIEM) and Fellow, Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (FNICE).
“He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment (FNAEGE) and a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE).
“He is also a Council Member of the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) and Industrial/Area Board Member of the Regional Transport Research and Education Centre, Kumasi (TRAC), Ghana,” he said. (NAN)
