Human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, says a team of 28 lawyers in Lagos State is on standby to offer legal assistance to anyone arrested or prosecuted over #EndBadGovernance protest.
The 10-day nationwide protest against hardship, worsening poverty, poor governance among others will kick off on Thursday, August 1.
Ahead of the kick-off, Effiong in a post on his X account on Wednesday night, said, “We have a team of 28 lawyers in Lagos State cutting across different parts of the State.
“We just finished our meeting and we’re ready to offer representation to arrested and or prosecuted protesters.
“If there are cases you want to bring to our attention, please tag me or send a DM and we will follow up.”
“Any lawyer who will like to join us should please reach out via DM,” he added.
