The House of Representatives has condemned the attack on a ride-hailing driver by a member of the lower law-making house.
A video of Alex Ikwecheg attacking and threatening Stephen Abuwatseya had gone viral, drawing condemnation from Nigerians.
Hours after the video surfaced, the House of Representatives said it was concerned about the incident and took it “seriously”.

Following the development, police officers in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) said the Abia State lawmaker is in their custody.
