Musa warned that anyone flying a foreign flag in Nigeria is committing a treasonable offense and that no one should be used by any individual. He said that the majority of those flying foreign flags were children who were being pushed to do so. Security agencies are ready to defend democracy and the nation’s sovereignty, and the President has instructed them not to accept anyone who wants to disrupt the peace and tranquility of Nigeria.
The Russian embassy in Nigeria has denied any involvement in the protests, stating that the use of their flag by protesters is unauthorized and does not reflect any support from the Russian government. They emphasized that Russia respects Nigeria’s sovereignty and internal affairs.
