The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has condoled with the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Bassey Uno, over the demise of his wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Patience Umo Uno.
The National Chairman of the Fellowship, Bishop Francis Wale Oke, in a condolence message at the Media and Publicity Bureau in Ibadan on Tuesday, described his demise as shocking.
He said: “On behalf of millions of Pentecostals in Nigeria, we extend our heartfelt condolences and sincere prayers to you and your family at this difficult moment in your lives. Her Majesty was not only a compassionate First Lady, but also an extraordinary mother.
“Your Excellency, as a Pentecostal preacher and father of faith in my own right, we do not need to remind you of the scriptures in 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 which says 'We are troubled on every side, yet are not troubled We are shocked, but not forsaken, but not destroyed.”
He then prayed that the soul of the deceased would rest in peace from God and the Governor would get the strength to continue in the ministry and carry on with the state functions entrusted to his hands.
