Mrs. Alabi also revealed that for the first time, female teams will be participating in the tournament.
“There will be six teams from orphanage homes, six from football academies and four women's teams.
“The orphanage home teams include SOS Children Home, Isolo, SOS Children Home, Ovu, Project Friendship Initiative, Citadel of Grace Homes, Street to School Welfare Homes and Habitation of Hope.
“The football academies are Dazzle FC, Right to Smile Academy, Alimosho FC, Varsity FA, La Caballero FC and Ikorodu City FC, while the women's teams include Alimosho FC Ladies, Wasbak Queens, Dazzaz Ladies and Adufuts FC Ladies.
“The KidSport Charity Cup is about gender inclusivity that brings everyone together and gives all children a sense of belonging,” Alabi said.
Organizers revealed that the overall winners, first and second runners-up will be given handsome prizes, while all participating orphanage homes will be given different sets of gift items.
